Terms and Conditions

Provisional Driving Licence or Driving Licence:

Students must possess a valid provisional driving licence, have correct eyesight, and personally ensure that they are the holders of a valid, current licence, which must be produced at the first lesson and which will be regularly checked by their driving instructor. Keep in mind the picture on the photo card licence expires after 10 years. The photo card licence must be up to date. It is the responsibility of the student to inform the instructor of any changes or restrictions on their driving licence.

Client Wellbeing:

Students should disclose any medical conditions or medication that may affect their ability to drive safely on the road. The instructor reserves the right to refuse a lesson if the student appears unfit to drive due to illness or other factors affecting their wellbeing during the lesson and the test. Students are required to wear appropriate footwear and comfortable clothes which do not restrict movement during lessons for optimal control of the vehicle on the road.

Postponement and Cancellation (48 Hour Notice):

A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for the postponement or cancellation of any scheduled lesson due to any reasons.

Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.

Postponement or Cancellation of Test:

If the student wishes to postpone or cancel a driving test, a minimum of three weeks' notice is required. Any fees associated with the test are the responsibility of the student.

Driving Instructor Guarantee:

The instructor will make every effort to ensure a high standard of teaching and provide a safe and supportive learning environment on the road. However, the instructor cannot guarantee a specific outcome in the driving test.

Driving Test:

The instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of the school vehicle for a driving test if the student is not deemed ready for their test. Students using their own vehicle for the test must ensure it meets legal requirements and has appropriate insurance coverage of the car.

Lessons in Own Car:

Students may use their own vehicle for lessons if they wish, subject to the instructor's approval. The vehicle must be roadworthy, insured, and comply with legal requirements.

Insurance Legal Liability:

When using the school's vehicle, students are covered by the instructor's insurance for the duration of the lesson. When they use their own vehicle, students are responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage is needed.

Complaints:

If any concerns or complaints arise, they should be communicated to the instructor promptly.

The driving school will address and investigate complaints in a fair and timely manner.

By enrolling in lessons with Smart School of Motoring, the student acknowledges and agrees to abide by these terms and conditions. These terms may be subject to change, and any updates will be communicated to the student in advance.
